Originally starting my career as a golf coach, I have since brought two decades of instructional expertise to the pickleball court as a global Certified DUPR Coach. My passion lies at the heart of the sport's most dynamic segment: the beginner and entry-level crowd. I have guided 200+ students in the past 9 months through their first steps on court, focusing on the five pillars of DUPR performance—the serve, return, third shot, dink, and volley.\n\nMy mission is to welcome new players by demystifying the DUPR rating process and creating a professional pathway from pure beginner to an official rating. Internationally, I am expanding this ecosystem by rating players across Australia+Japan and establishing strategic court partnerships. Beyond foundational coaching, I actively drive grassroots growth in Sydney—organizing dynamic RX3 format student tournaments, coaching junior talent for the PPA Tour U14 in NSW (August 2026), and sharing insights featured in SBS Media coverage.\n\nThrough my 'Train the Trainer' program, I also mentor assistant coaches in high-intensity drill progressions to ensure every newcomer receives \"beginner best-fit\" instruction as the sport grows worldwide.","avatarUrl":"https://ewvfbezbkbxmtghxhiij.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/media/default/b86ae255-0133-4787-8972-b2f00860cc3e.jpeg","skill":{"id":"96ee17d6-45cb-43df-be88-ff728ecbf8c4","slug":"pickleball","label":"Pickleball"},"acceptingNewStudents":true,"teachesOnline":true,"lessonLengths":[60,90,120],"maxParticipants":4,"locations":[{"id":"827b3a5a-edbd-422f-ab16-657ed5487d04","name":"Chatswood, NSW","address":"Chatswood, NSW","city":"Chatswood","state":"NSW","timezone":"Australia/Sydney","online":false,"latitude":-33.79,"longitude":151.19},{"id":"74bb554d-e3d2-460b-9963-df58e196b9d4","name":"Sydney, New South Wales","address":"Sydney, New South Wales","city":"Sydney","state":"New South Wales","timezone":"Australia/Sydney","online":true,"latitude":-33.8,"longitude":151.18}],"packages":[{"package":1,"lessonLength":60,"participants":1,"pricePerLesson":{"amount":10000,"currency":"USD"},"total":{"amount":16500,"currency":"USD"}},{"package":3,"lessonLength":60,"participants":1,"pricePerLesson":{"amount":8000,"currency":"USD"},"total":{"amount":37500,"currency":"USD"}},{"package":10,"lessonLength":60,"participants":1,"pricePerLesson":{"amount":7500,"currency":"USD"},"total":{"amount":110000,"currency":"USD"}}],"site":{"url":"https://sites.coach/dupr3derek","cancellationPolicy":{"windowHours":24,"lateCancelFeePercent":0,"noShowFeePercent":0,"agreementRequired":false},"prepaidLessonExpiryMonths":12,"packages":[{"id":"974af7e0-df45-4b6e-a4c0-6a5f30d96c53","name":"60-Minute Pickleball Lesson with DUPR Assessment","description":null,"lessonLength":60,"lessons":{"options":[1],"min":1,"max":1,"default":1},"participants":{"options":[1],"min":1,"max":1},"online":false,"locationIds":["827b3a5a-edbd-422f-ab16-657ed5487d04","74bb554d-e3d2-460b-9963-df58e196b9d4"],"pricePerLesson":{"amount":8800,"currency":"USD"},"total":{"amount":8800,"currency":"USD"},"passFeesToStudent":false,"welcomeOffer":null},{"id":"544c4662-9a84-4c9f-95e4-f4de3134c812","name":"30-Minutes DUPR Assessment","description":"Provide an official DUPR rating to all pickleball players","lessonLength":30,"lessons":{"options":[1],"min":1,"max":1,"default":1},"participants":{"options":[1],"min":1,"max":1},"online":false,"locationIds":["827b3a5a-edbd-422f-ab16-657ed5487d04"],"pricePerLesson":{"amount":3500,"currency":"USD"},"total":{"amount":6500,"currency":"USD"},"passFeesToStudent":false,"welcomeOffer":null}]},"rating":{"average":5,"count":5},"policies":{"cancellation":"Full refund when the student cancels within 24 hours of making the booking and the lesson is not scheduled within the next 24 hours.","riskFreeGuarantee":"After the first lesson, the student can request a rematch with a different coach or a refund within 24 hours of that lesson.","expiry":"Prepaid lessons bought on TeachMe.To are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
